A Rioja Icon Has Passed Away

The sad news out of Spain today is that Don Pedro López de Heredia passed away this weekend.
Don Pedro was the third generation to run López de Heredia, and during his life, he made countless great Riojas that were the essence of the region's noble traditions. But perhaps even more important, he passed his standards of excellence and passion for tradition on to his four children—Julio Cesar, Maria Jose, Mercedes, and Rafael—who will assure that López de Heredia remains a beacon for lovers of classic Rioja.
